Even after my second reading, I cannot believe how Timothy James managed to get me so engaged with each of these characters -- so well molded as to have you fully picturing every one of them!!! This has got to be made into a movie!!! And as for twists and turns, it got to the point of keeping me up at night so I could get to the next part of each character!! Wonderfully crafted!!! A book you will hardly want to put down -- and maybe, like me, will want to go through a second (or third) time just to catch any tidbits you may have missed!!! An exceptional read that keeps you engaged right to the end -- highly recommended!!! ORIGINAL ideas of a truly ORIGINAL new world, skillfully blended with present day and distant past -- kept me spellbound!!! (Aside -- if you haven't yet read his "Jack" series, you should check out that twist to a story you thought you already knew -- another original world that I hope the author adds to someday!!!)

This book is a pleasure to read! It has a creative, entertaining plot-line and well-developed characters, along with a thought-provoking message. Would also be suitable for young adult readers.
I loved this book. When you read the bit on the back about the three people - and even after you start to read the book - your mind is trying to figure out how the three people will get together. It's somehow unbelievably improbable, and your disbelief has to be firmly suspended, but Timothy James does a brilliant job of making this all feel "of course". Can't figure out how he did that. The characters are engaging, the story is fast paced and easy to read without being superficial and simplistic. It draws you in so deep you can't put it down. I was frustrated by the last line...I didn't know it was going to be a trilogy, and now I have to wait for book two. Which I'm doing. On Tenterhooks!

Highly highly recommed this. It will be worth your time if you're looking for an entertaining read that makes you forget all about where you really are, and what you're really doing.

Now for book two...
I would fall asleep with it in my hands and would wake up to read some more in the morning. I wondered how you were going to blend the different story lines but I loved how you did it. Thank you for a fantastic read. Love your writings, Karen Thiessen.
